For you have created my inmost being....

Psalm 139 continues... you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
We are all God's children and we are all individuals with different characters and gifts. It has been so good to get to know some of the young people who have been coming to Centar during the summer and some of them during the terms before. Getting to know them better and watch them as they enjoy the summer programme it has been good to get to know their individual skills.
We decided to 'rebuild a town' in Haiti yesterday and one teenager showed such creativity which was quite unexpected. We used Becca's junk box and turned empty boxes, egg boxes, toilet roll holders into a town. The end result was amazing. I think we expected a row of houses maybe a tree or two but with a young lad's guidance we got an amazing town!
Today we suggested fund-raising to help raise money to send to rebuild Haiti. The kids shouted out ideas, we wrote them down then for a time they returned to playing on the computer or chatting. A short while later this same young lad who had been pondering suggested making a billboard to explain to the town what we were doing and then suggested that they should all wear the same colour T-shirts. We are encouraging them in their ideas and they will be in charge of stalls such as 'guess how many sweets in a jar', making friendship bracelets, balloon animals, a small fee for going on the Bouncy Castle etc. We and they are very excited about fund-raising during the coming summer weeks.
Thanks to all who helped create the world in mosaic format. I think it looks great - see below. It was very therapeutic and great to chat and stick!
